FAQ

Common questions about General Liability

What is an occurrence vs. aggregate limit?

The occurrence limit ($1M) is the max your policy pays for a single claim. The aggregate ($2M) is the max for all claims in a policy year. A "1M/2M" policy is the standard starting point for most small businesses.

Does GL cover employee injuries?

No. Employee injuries are covered by Workers' Compensation, which is a separate mandatory policy in California.

What is an Additional Insured endorsement?

An AI endorsement adds another party (landlord, general contractor, client) to your policy so they're protected from claims arising from your work. Clients frequently require this on contracts.

Can I get a Certificate of Insurance same day?

Yes. Once bound, we issue Certificates of Insurance (ACORD 25) the same day through our online portal.
