Coverage Solutions
Coverage built around your business.
We place coverage across all major commercial lines. Here's a plain- English breakdown of what each type of coverage does and who needs it.
Not sure what applies to you? Let us guide you — that's what we're here for.
General Liability
The foundation of commercial protection.
General Liability insurance protects your business from claims involving third-party bodily injury, property damage, and personal/advertising injury. If a client slips at your office, a contractor damages a client's property, or someone claims your advertising was harmful, GL coverage responds.
Who typically needs this:
- Contractors and trades
- Retail and service businesses
- Any business that interacts with the public
- Businesses with clients, customers, or vendors on-site
Commercial Auto
Protection for business vehicles and operations.
Commercial Auto coverage protects vehicles used for business — whether it's a single company car, a service van, a box truck, or a fleet. Personal auto policies typically exclude business use, so this is a critical gap to close.
Who typically needs this:
- Trucking and transportation companies
- Contractors with work vehicles
- Delivery and courier services
- Businesses with company-owned vehicles
Workers' Compensation
Required coverage that protects you and your employees.
Workers' Compensation insurance covers medical expenses and a portion of lost wages when an employee is injured on the job. In California and most states, it's legally required for businesses with employees. It also protects business owners from employee lawsuits related to workplace injuries.
Who typically needs this:
- Any business with W-2 employees
- Construction and trades
- Healthcare and home care services
- Manufacturing and warehousing
Umbrella / Excess Liability
Extra protection when primary limits aren't enough.
An Umbrella (or Excess Liability) policy kicks in when a claim exceeds the limits of your underlying policies — General Liability, Commercial Auto, or Employers Liability. It provides an additional layer of coverage at a relatively low cost, and is often required by larger clients or contracts.
Who typically needs this:
- Businesses with large contracts
- Higher-risk operations
- Businesses with significant assets to protect
- Those with commercial auto or GL approaching limit exposure
Businessowner's Policy (BOP)
Bundled protection designed for small to mid-size businesses.
A Businessowner's Policy combines General Liability and Commercial Property coverage into one package, often at a discount over buying them separately. BOPs are ideal for businesses that own or rent a physical location and want comprehensive, cost-effective protection.
Who typically needs this:
- Retail stores and restaurants
- Professional offices and clinics
- Small to mid-size service businesses
- Any business with a physical location
Cyber Liability
Coverage for the digital risks businesses face today.
Cyber Liability insurance protects businesses from losses related to data breaches, ransomware attacks, and other cyber incidents. As more business is conducted digitally, the risk of exposure grows significantly — especially for businesses handling customer data, payment information, or protected health information.
Who typically needs this:
- Healthcare and medical practices
- Financial services and advisors
- Technology companies and SaaS
- Any business storing customer data
Professional Liability (E&O)
Protection against claims of professional errors.
Professional Liability — also known as Errors & Omissions (E&O) — covers claims that your business made a mistake, provided faulty advice, or failed to deliver services as promised. General Liability doesn't cover this, so professionals need separate E&O coverage.
Who typically needs this:
- Consultants and advisors
- Financial and legal professionals
- Technology and IT service providers
- Healthcare and allied health professionals
Commercial Property
Protection for your physical business assets.
Commercial Property insurance covers your building (if owned), business equipment, inventory, furniture, and other physical assets against fire, theft, vandalism, and certain weather events. If you depend on physical assets to run your business, this coverage is critical.
Who typically needs this:
- Businesses that own or rent a commercial space
- Manufacturers and warehouses
- Retailers with inventory
- Restaurants, clinics, and service businesses
